TRANSFORM YOUR SCHOOL INTO A STARS HUB
The "Safety To All RoadS HUB" (STARS HUB) aims to be a living lab of implementing Traffic Safety and Mobility Education activities at the premises of the school, engaging the whole school community (teachers, students, parents and local community). The STARS HUB can have the form of a “Road Safety Week” or a permanent facility, where students and children from the local community will be invited to participate with their families. During the STARS HUB, the MOVING STARS games and activities will be presented, as well as other activities by external experts (road safety organisations, traffic police, sport clubs, artistic gymnastics etc.), relevant to the aims of the project. The idea is to create a set of rotation workstations addressing different road safety topics (walking safely, balance, crossing the street, road signs, being visible, distraction etc.), where groups of students can play and learn.
The pilot implementation of the STARS HUBS shall take place during the Multiplier Events and later on at the Network of 100 Pilot Schools in all participating countries (Greece, Poland, Spain, Ireland, and Turkey). The consortium shall provide guidance and support to all schools in order to organise a STARS HUB in their school. All training material (STARS Teacher's Guide, STARS digital app, supporting materials produced for the games as well as the guidelines for setting up a HUB in school) will be included at the "MOVING STARS BOX" Toolkit.
